Few words about race:
In last 5 years race was won twice by Philippe Gilbert, other winners were Mark Cavendish, Lars Boom and Andre Greipel. Wout Van Aert is starting in this years edition he was 8th in GC in 2014 (he was only 19 years old at this time). This years edition is builded by easy pattern: prologue, 2 sprinters stages, 2 classic/puncheurs stages. Many riders will start here with big ambitions to win prologue and then secure GC leadership for all race. Riders like Phinney, Drucker or mentioned earlier Van Aert will do everything to take as many seconds as they can from sprinters in prologue. Technically this race is a war between Marcel Kittel and Andre Greipel but remember that names like Arndt, Enger, Capiot, Dehaes, Pelucchi and Mareczko will also start. Lotto NL Jumbo prepares a bit shocker for other teams sending for this race powerful duo Moreno Hofland & Dylan Groenewegen they also got in squad very well known cobbles specialist Sep Vanmarcke.
